T’ai Smith

T’ai Smith is an assistant professor in the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory and a Wall Scholar in the Peter Wall Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Author of Bauhaus Weaving Theory: From Feminine Craft to Mode of Design (University of Minnesota, 2014), Smith is currently developing a new book, provisionally titled Textile Diagrams, on textiles as figures of thought and labor within art history, philosophy, and political economy under capitalism.
